Brotherhood & Sisterhood
Interfaith Program 2011

A Brotherhood & Sisterhood Interfaith Program was presented at St. Mary of the Isle on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 4:00 pm.

The program was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Long Beach who were represented by President Valerie Buscemi and Linda Amato. Choral selections were provided by St. Mary’s children’s choir, Cantor David Katz of Temple Emanuel, the Youth Choirs of Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A collection was made to provide food for the Outreach pantries of St. Mary and St. Ignatius.

Monsignor Brennan gave the welcoming address, Monsignor Beckman of St. Ignatius gave the benediction and Rev. Walter Davis of Christian Light Baptist gave the blessing of the food. After the ceremonies, everyone moved to the parish hall where the Hospitality Committee of St. Ignatius provided baked goods, i.e. homemade cakes, cookies and cupcakes to everyone’s delight.
