Father Richard Mastrogiacomo

On Sunday, August 7, 2011, Fr. Richard Mastrogiacomo celebrated Mass at
St. Mary of the Isle at 12:00 pm. Fr. Rich served as a seminarian at St. Mary's
two years ago and was recently ordained at St. Agnes Cathedral. Fr. Richard
is now serving at Holy Redeemer Church in Freeport, N.Y. and will be leaving
for Rome in September. We honored Fr. Richard with a reception after the
noon Mass, in our parish hall where his parents expressed their gratitude to
many of our parishioners for their prayers for Richard. The hospitality
ladies did a wonderful job as usual with all their home baked goods and a
pleasant time was had by all. Our prayers and thoughts are with Fr. Richard
on his journey in the priesthood.
